How Can I Make a Monetary Contribution? Without the support of people like you, we would not be able to accomplish all that we have. No Contribution is too small and all donations are greatly appreciated! You can specify your contribution be used for general purpose, spay/neuter costs, adoption expenses, cat care, or dog care. If you would like to make your donation in honor of someone or as a memorial, we will include your ‘tribute’ in our newsletter and send a card to the ‘honoree’ or to the family if it is a memorial. Please specify the name of the person or pet you wish to honor with your contribution. If you have any questions, please contact (724)863-7722 for more information.
Can I make my donation through the United Way? Pet Friends, Inc. can be a United Way recipient by using: Pet Friends, Inc. #1381068 or check with your HR Department. Donations cannot be made through Allegheny county employers.
Does Pet Friends, Inc have a need other than monetary contributions? Yes, you may have some ‘old’ things laying around your house that Pet Friends could use for our animals. Please take a look at our Wish List page for more information. We also desperately need volunteers and/or foster homes. Please contact (724)863-7722 for more information.
How can I find a pet? Pictures of cats, kittens, dogs, and puppies ready and available for adoption are posted on our website, placed in the local paper, published in our newsletter, on FaceBook, and displayed on flyers on the community. For more information and applications, please see our Adoption Process page. Some of our cats are housed at the Greensburg, PA - Pet Smart. See our Calendar page for dates and times for our Meet-A-Pet events where you can meet our adoptable pets. We offer an open invitation to the community to come and meet the animals and see how our organization functions. Once a good match of pet and owner has been established, a volunteer will help you fill out an adoption application.
If Pet Friends, Inc doesn’t have a shelter, where do you keep your pets? When we receive information from an organization, local authority, or individual notifying us that a cat or dog is in need of a home, one of our volunteers accesses the situation. Our dogs are either fostered or boarded at a local kennel dependent on space and funds. Our cats are placed in safe foster homes and also placed at the Greensburg, PA - Pet Smart |
